Here are the more official photos of the revamped Falchion commission. The materials used were L-200 foam, Delrin, fiberglass rod, red oak, and enamel paint. The whole thing was hand carved, sanded, and painted.
So here is my cosplay lineup for the year…kind of. I’d like to make one, maaaaybe two more suits before I hit the Blizzcon one. I’m not sure which yet, but I’ve narrowed it down to the three above. It will probably be for Otakon 2014. Any ideas?
I finally got to redo the Falchion, but this time it was for a commission. I will get more official photos of the finished sword later this week, so hang tight. You can visit our facebook here for more props and processes.
I finished the armor for the sniper the other night, so now all that’s left are the clothes which lionfirethepatient is sewing. For some reason I’m still not feeling this one, but I’ll see if that changes after the clothes are done. Either way, I’ll see you guys at Ohayocon!
Here’s some more sniper progress! I shortened and narrowed the breast plate so that it fits me a lot better than in the previous test fittings. After I get the belts and straps on, it will make the sides pucker out more to match the reference images. I also got the quiver and arrows mostly done. I can’t really do much more armor wise until the boots, gloves, and bow come in, but the suede and belt hardware arrived today.
I made a little more progress on the sniper today. I’ve been going off of the concept art and final rendering, so some pieces are a little mismatched. Everything still needs some tweaking, but I’m sure most of it will fit better when I get the straps on. Something is still off about the shoulder pieces, so I will be messing with those a lot more. Please excuse the poor lighting and my face.
So I told myself that I wouldn’t give myself a month to make my next cosplay, but here I am with four weeks to go until Ohayocon. Luckily this one is a little simpler than the great lord armor so I should be able to finish without too much panic. This time I’m doing a sniper from Fire Emblem Awakening. I had finished and painted the helmet a few months ago to wear with the great lord armor on Halloween, but I will repaint it when I get to the rest of the armor.
We got the Fiora commission all done tonight. This will be shipped out on monday or tuesday to Alex in New Jersey.
*Please ignore my face in all the photos*

Finally finished the male Fiora cosplay. We were asked to make the cape last minute and it didn’t turn out too bad for our first sewing job. I’m excited to see how it will look with the jacket and everything else.
